Description

Delicious pan-seared salmon fillets topped with a zesty lemon garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fillets salmon (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup caper berries, rinsed
  • Juice of 2 fresh lemons
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat dry salmon fillets and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon fillets skin-side down and sear for about 4 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Flip the salmon gently, then add minced garlic and capers around the fillets. Cook for another 3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in fresh lemon juice and a splash of water, scraping up any bits stuck to the pan; simmer for about 2 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low and stir in butter until melted, creating a silky sauce.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • This recipe can be served with a side of steamed vegetables or over a bed of rice for a complete meal.
  • For added flavor, incorporate a splash of white wine while simmering the lemon juice.
