Description

A delicious gooey chocolate chip cookie baked in a cast iron skillet, topped with ice cream and chocolate sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup butter (unsalted, softened)
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ⅔ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 4 scoops chocolate chip ice cream
  • chocolate sauce for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350℉.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together butter and sugars until combined.
  3. Add in vanilla and egg.
  4. Slowly stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt, then fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Press the cookie dough mixture into the bottom of an 8-inch cast iron skillet.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes (it will be gooey and under done).
  7. Pull out of the oven and top with ice cream, then drizzle with chocolate sauce.
  8. Serve while still warm (and before the ice cream melts!).

Notes

  • Try adding nuts for extra texture.
  • Serve immediately for best results.
