Description

A delicious grilled tofu recipe marinated in a savory mix of sesame oil and soy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 14 oz extra-firm tofu (1 package)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and rice vinegar.
  3. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized pieces and marinate in the mixture for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly grease it.
  5. Grill tofu for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Drizzle remaining marinade over the grilled tofu and allow it to caramelize for another minute.
  7. Serve topped with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

  • For best flavor, allow tofu to marinate longer than 20 minutes.
  • Ensure tofu is pressed properly to achieve a nice texture.
