A deliciously creamy and sweet baked dish made with sweet potatoes.
Ingredients

- 4 medium sweet potatoes (about 1 lbs), peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer the sliced sweet potatoes evenly in the baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, brown sugar, salt, and pepper; pour over the sweet potatoes.
- Place small pats of butter on top of the final layer.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil for the last 15 minutes to caramelize.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg.
- This dish can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
