Description
This grilled flank steak is marinated in a flavorful blend of garlic, soy sauce, lime juice, and spices, creating a deliciously tender and juicy dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lbs flank steak
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together garlic, soy sauce, lime juice, olive oil, cilantro, chili powder, black pepper, and brown sugar until well combined.
- Place the flank steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight preferred).
- Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade (discard marinade) and grill each side for 4-6 minutes until caramelized and medium-rare (130°F internal temperature). Adjust time for desired doneness.
- Let the steak rest on a cutting board for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain into thin strips.
- Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
Notes
- Marinating overnight intensifies the flavors.
- Serve with grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
