Description
This baked halibut recipe features a delicious ginger soy marinade that enhances the flavors of the fish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 halibut fillets (6 oz each)
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, ginger, honey, lemon juice, and garlic until combined.
- Place the halibut fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Remove the halibut from the marinade and place it in the prepared baking dish. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- While baking, simmer the reserved marinade in a small saucepan until slightly thickened to use as a drizzle.
- Serve hot, drizzled with reduced marinade and topped with chopped green onions.
Notes
- For best results, marinate the fish longer than 30 minutes if time allows.
- Adjust the ingredients in the marinade to taste, especially the honey for sweetness.
