Description
A delicious mixed berry trifle with layers of angel food cake, berries, and creamy pudding.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 prepared angel food cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups mixed berries
- 1 can (21 oz) pie filling (optional)
- 1 box (3 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1½ cups cold milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups whipped topping
- Caramel or berry sauce, for drizzle
- Extra berries and whipped cream, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together cold milk and instant vanilla pudding mix until smooth.
- Fold in sour cream and whipped topping until combined.
- In a trifle dish, layer half of the angel food cake cubes.
- Add half of the mixed berries on top of the cake.
- Spread half of the pudding mixture over the berries.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with the pudding layer on top.
- Drizzle with caramel or berry sauce.
- Garnish with extra berries and whipped cream.
Notes
- This trifle can be made ahead of time and refrigerated for a couple of hours before serving.
- Feel free to use any combination of berries.
