- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans, toasted
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Fold in toasted chopped pecans.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
- Scoop dough (1 tbsp per cookie) and bake for 10–12 minutes. Let cool.
- For frosting, melt butter. Stir in powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Frost cooled cookies and allow glaze to set.
