Description
Delicious chocolate-covered strawberries coated in yogurt, perfect for a sweet treat!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
- Sprinkles or crushed nuts (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Rinse the strawberries and remove the green tops. Cut them in half or quarters, depending on your preference.
- In a mixing bowl, scoop out the yogurt. Dip each strawberry piece into the yogurt, ensuring they’re fully covered. Use a fork to lift them out, allowing excess yogurt to drip off.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the yogurt-coated strawberries in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch each other.
- Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 30 minutes. This will help the yogurt firm up before the chocolate coating.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.
- Once the yogurt has set, dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off before placing them back on the parchment-lined sheet.
- If you want a decorative touch, sprinkle crushed nuts or sprinkles over the chocolate before it sets.
- Return the baking sheet to the freezer for another 10-15 minutes or until the chocolate hardens completely.
