Description
Delicious BBQ Meatballs made with frozen meatballs, coated in a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 32 oz fully cooked frozen meatballs
- 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2–3 cups BBQ Sauce (Omit if you don’t want to use it.)
- 1 – 1 1/2 cups Dr. Pepper
- 1 cup Brown Sugar or Sweetener
- 1/2 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Add the BBQ sauce, Dr. Pepper, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir everything together and let it simmer for 5–10 minutes until the sauce is smooth and the sugar has dissolved.
- Drizzle some BBQ sauce (not all) into the bottom of the baking dish. I use a 9×13.
- Add the frozen meatballs to a baking dish in a single layer.
- Pour the warm sauce over the meatballs and toss them so everything is fully coated.
- Bake uncovered for 45-60 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce is thick, sticky, and caramelized.
- Spoon extra sauce over the top before serving and grab the toothpicks.
- Add the BBQ sauce, Dr. Pepper, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir and let it simmer for 5–10 minutes until everything is combined and slightly thickened.
- Add the frozen meatballs to your slow cooker.
- Pour the warm sauce over the meatballs and stir so everything is well coated.
- Cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce is rich and flavorful.
- Give them a good stir before serving so all that sauce gets back on the meatballs.
Notes
- Fully frozen meatballs take approximately 55 minutes to cook.
- Adjust the BBQ sauce amount to taste.
