Description

Delicious BBQ Meatballs made with frozen meatballs, coated in a flavorful sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 32 oz fully cooked frozen meatballs
  • 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 23 cups BBQ Sauce (Omit if you don’t want to use it.)
  • 11 1/2 cups Dr. Pepper
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar or Sweetener
  • 1/2 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Add the BBQ sauce, Dr. Pepper, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir everything together and let it simmer for 5–10 minutes until the sauce is smooth and the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Drizzle some BBQ sauce (not all) into the bottom of the baking dish. I use a 9×13.
  4. Add the frozen meatballs to a baking dish in a single layer.
  5. Pour the warm sauce over the meatballs and toss them so everything is fully coated.
  6. Bake uncovered for 45-60 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce is thick, sticky, and caramelized.
  7. Spoon extra sauce over the top before serving and grab the toothpicks.
  8. Add the BBQ sauce, Dr. Pepper, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir and let it simmer for 5–10 minutes until everything is combined and slightly thickened.
  9. Add the frozen meatballs to your slow cooker.
  10. Pour the warm sauce over the meatballs and stir so everything is well coated.
  11. Cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce is rich and flavorful.
  12. Give them a good stir before serving so all that sauce gets back on the meatballs.

Notes
